Bellus Academy Welcomes Former Marinello Students/Grads

Grandfathering arrangement offers workshops, competitions and continuing learning opportunities to Marinello Schools of Beauty graduates

Bellus Academy is opening its doors to former students and graduates of Marinello Schools of Beauty following the closure of Marinello's 56 U.S. campuses earlier this month.

Immediately following the Marinello announcement, Bellus Academy hosted a transfer open house to provide former Marinello students with information on the transfer process and it is offering Bellus grad benefits to Marinello graduates.

Through a "grandfathering" arrangement, Marinello graduates will be able to take advantage of post-grad opportunities at Bellus Academy including advanced educational programs, national and international industry competitions and industry networking events.

"At Bellus, we believe passing the state board is just the beginning of the professional's educational journey and we are committed to supporting graduates with professional learning opportunities throughout their career," said Lynelle Lynch, owner and president of Bellus Academy.

Graduates of Bellus and Marinello are also eligible for post-grad scholarships and many Bellus graduates have secured dual licenses in cosmetology, esthetics, nails, barbering and massage therapy.

In addition to hosting artistic workshops that bring some of the world's top hairstylists to campus for post-grad learning experiences, Bellus Academy also offers graduates workshops on business development, marketing and more. For example, the academy is offering free reputation management workshops at its California and Kansas campuses. California workshops are March 8 (Poway), March 9 (National City) and March 10, (El Cajon). The Manhattan, Kansas campus will host a reputation management workshop on April 5.

During the three-hour workshop, participants will learn how to build their online reputation, cultivate Google reviews, engage clients online and grow their business. Additional workshops are offered throughout the year.

Professional development workshops are open to both Bellus and Marinello graduates. "While we are saddened to see a beauty school with a 110-year history close its doors, we are committed to helping its students, educators and alumni pursue their career goals; whether it's passing the state board or elevating their skills as a licensed professional," said Lynch.
