Lisa Power Salon has just released its signature looks for the winter 2013-2014 season. The looks were inspired by the fashion and trends of the 1920s, as featured in the movie The Great Gatsby, released earlier this year.

Stylist Jeremy Novak and Owner Lisa Power created the series of three looks, which amplified images from the past using new techniques and finishes that focused on texture and color. The stylists were challenged as the trend preview caused them to stretch their skills and talents to accomplish the vision, with outstanding results. Styling was provided by the team at Lisa Power Salon, and led by Novak and Power. Photography was provided by Debora Spencer.

The team at Lisa Power Salon is known for creating outstanding color perfectly matched to each client, and this trend preview is no exception. Colors featured range from apricot blond, to chestnut red, to mahogany. Unlike the fashion of the 1920s, the looks featured for winter do not emphasize smooth and compact finishes, but rather texture and movement.

"We really wanted to take the purity of the styling from that era and add a modern twist and edge. Jeremy and I worked together to create a unified vision that is perfectly expressed in each of the styles," explained Owner Lisa Power.

Lisa Power has been in the hair industry since 1986 and opened Lisa Power Salon in July 2006. Education has always been a top priority for Lisa as she has spent most of her career training stylists and educators around the world. She spent six years as the lead educator for ICON International, was the creative lead at her previous salon, and was a 13-year member of the Sebastian Artistic Team.
