Michael's Salon & Day Spa: Halloween Horror Couture

The design team at Michael's Salon and Day Spa looked to the dark side for inspiration while preparing their spookiest photo shoot ever. Halloween marks the one time a year to fashion yourself in costume and stand out of the crowd. Dayton, Ohio salon owner and photographer Michael Schuh, knew he had to give his design team an incredible backdrop to showcase their wicked skills.

Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum is a National Historic Landmark located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a place where the beauty of form, color and size would be most effective for Schuh's artistic vision. The Michael's Design Team descended upon 733 acres of towering trees, winding road ways and some of the most exquisite architecture in the country.

There are people who love Halloween. Then there are people who LOVE Halloween. Like, really, really LOVE Halloween. Designer Ashley O'Dell, demonstrates her ability to create avant-garde creations and somehow makes ghoulish look good. Ashley adorned herself in haute couture like garb, with a tightly fit lace bodice, bound with ribbon and made complete with ruffles and chiffon. Ashley swept her blonde locks to one side. She finished her 18th century bouffant with Aquage Finishing Spray.

Designer Jodi "Reese" Melvin decided to channel her dark side with horns of hair. Reese's wardrobe screams Old Hollywood meets Gothic, in a elegant red gown, black corset and an icy blue gaze that is not for the faint of heart. Reese consistently demonstrates her commitment to the themed photography shoots for Michael's Salon and Day Spa. Along with her talent as a cosmetologist, Reese has a background in graphic design and photography so Michael Schuh is quick to solicit Reese's artistic opinion during a creative production.
