Student Competition at Educational Forum in Fort Worth

International, national and regional beauty supply vendors and celebrity stylists are invited to participate in the Educational Forum 2013 October 27 and 28 at the Will Rogers Memorial in the Center Round Up Inn, 3401 West Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth, Texas.

Celebrity Stylist Martin Parsons, long regarded as one of the top long hair stylists in the world, will be headlining the Educational Forum. The two-day Educational Forum includes instructional seminars, a wide variety of leading vendors in beauty supplies and products, as well as the forums signature event - a student hair show and contest.

The three-event student competition includes: Three-Person-Team Total Look Competition; Mannequin Bridal Competition, as well as a Mannequin Fantasy Competition.

New to the 2013 Educational Forum is a beauty pageant for special needs girls ages seven to 14. The pageant will include a casual attire and formal attire competition. Registration is free. Application forms are available at ITS Academy of Beauty, 1101 Melbourne St. in the Northeast Mall in Hurst, TX.

Cosmetology students from Hair Benders Academy in Longwood, Florida, I.T.S Academy in Texas and Oklahoma, Olympian University in New Mexico as well as International Academy of Hair Design in Arizona are invited to participate in the contest.

Students are encouraged to pull out the stops on their themed entry to create a hair and makeup idea that wows the judges, spectators and fellow students. Each entry is judged based on creativity, originality, innovations, color and theme.

"This student competition is one of the most dazzling and creative endeavors of its kind", said Jessica Wolman one of three owners of the 20 cosmetology schools competing in the event. "In addition to the excitement, it is a great opportunity for our talented students to meet with our exhibitors, as well as network with local and national salon and spa chains for potential employment opportunities once they have obtained their license."

Forum coordinators Wolman, Jerry Johnson (also an owner) and Margie Wisniski, vice president of operations, invite leading artists and industry leaders to showcase their latest trends in hair, skin and makeup, on and off stage, to some of the top cosmetology students in the U.S.

Vendor participation is limited and conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration and information is available online at
