Salons Recycle Pedicure Flip-Flops through TerraCycle

Salons and spas can recycle pedicure flip-flops through the Flip-Flop Brigade, a free collection and recycling program from TerraCycle and Old Navy. By signing up at www.terracycle.com and sending in this would-be waste, salons earn Old Navy coupons to share with customers. Instead of throwing the flip-flips away, employees and customers simply drop them in a designated box in the salon. When the box is full, an employee can download and print a prepaid UPS shipping label from the TerraCycle website and send the waste to TerraCycle. When the box is processed, a packet of coupons will be mailed to the salon.

TerraCycle also works with Garnier to collect all kinds of hair care, skin care and cosmetic packaging through the Personal Care and Beauty Brigade and donates money to a school or charity for each piece of waste returned. Like the Flip-Flop Brigade, it's completely free to join. For information on how to join please visit www.terracycle.com.
