Trichology Conference to be Held in San Antonio, Texas

Due to the huge success of 2012's trichology conference in Brazil, the International Association of Trichologists is holding a two-day trichology conference at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio in San Antonio, Texas from May 19 to 20, 2013.

Guest speakers will include top trichologist David Salinger from Australia, dermatologist Dr. Larry Shapiro from "Hair Help" in Florida, Dr. Candy Lewis, naturapathic doctor and herbalist from Ohio, educationalist and trichologist Yvonne Solomon from Georgia and CEO of HLCC, William Blatter who specializes in the laser and hair loss industry.

Hair Loss Experts Provide Free Screenings in San Antonio April 6 & 8
International Association of Trichologists’ events kick off 1st U.S. Conference

The Hair Management Group will host free screenings April 6 and April 8 for people who suffer from hair loss due to chemical treatments, medical conditions and heredity factors  in the San Antonio and Austin areas. The screenings will be used to select up to 100 people for free, full consultations in May by world-renown hair loss expert and trichologist David Salinger.

Salinger will be visiting the Alamo City as part of the upcoming International Association of Trichologists, USA Hair Loss Conference that will take place May 19-20 at the Hilton Palacio del Rio in San Antonio.

The free screenings and conference are aimed at better serving a segment of consumers who spend and estimated $3.5 billion annually to treat hair loss, according to conference director and trichologist Andrea Hayden of San Antonio-based The Hair Management Group. Trichologists study hair and scalp disorders.

“Increasingly, consumers and hair care professionals are realizing that the hair and scalp are great barometers of good health and thus they are seeking a holistic approach to hair care,” Hayden said. “This conference and the dozens of free consultations  we will provide are a way to share the very latest in trichology and hair loss solutions with the public.”

The two-day conference is expected to attract hundreds of hair loss experts, hair replacement specialists, stylists, and suppliers from around the world. Designed for cosmetologists and medical professionals who have experience in treating clients with hair loss, the conference will expose attendees to: 

As part of the events, Hayden’s The Hair Management Group will provide free hair loss screenings to people of all ages, genders and ethnicities from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on April 6 and from 6 – 9 p.m. April 8. Walk-ins will be accepted in between previously scheduled screenings. Up to 100 people will be selected for more in-depth, free, private consultations with Salinger May 21-25.
