Dennis Snow Named PBA Symposium Keynote Speaker

As an industry-leading educational event, PBA Symposium will once again bring together influential speakers and networking opportunities designed to promote personal growth and career advancement. Produced by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), and part of PBA Beauty Week, PBA Symposium includes top professionals from in and out of the professional beauty industry in a neutral setting without the premise of promoting products or services. PBA Symposium is open and designed for all members of the industry, from manufacturers to licensed professionals, yet customized to give everyone timely and relevant information they can apply on the job and in life. PBA Symposium will take place July 21 – 24, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Speakers include:

Dennis Snow - Keynote Speaker:  Learn the secrets of Walt Disney World’s winning customer service secrets with noted speaker, author, and Disney veteran Dennis Snow. With more than twenty years at Disney, Snow advanced through the company and managed various divisions, which taught him what it takes to run a world-class, service-driven organization. From launching the Disney Institute, which consults with some of the world’s largest companies on service to teaching corporate philosophy and business practices at Disney University, Snow knows customer service and what it means to business and personal success.

Snow regularly appears in the media sharing his insights. He is the author of Unleashing Excellence: The Complete Guide to Ultimate Customer Service, which has been used by organizations around the world as a blueprint for organization excellence. His newest book entitled Lessons From the Mouse: A Guide for Applying Disney World’s Secrets of Success to Your Organization, Your Career, and Your Life has just been released.

Snow’s keynote address will directly follow the PBA Annual Business Forum, Sunday, July 22, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Continental breakfast will be served.

Deena Elbert – Find out how to boost morale, improve results and create the environment where success can flourish. Steeped in the FISH! Philosophy, Ebert has worked with high-technology startups to Fortune 500 powerhouses, cultivating fresh new ways to approach workplace dynamics, personal accountability and unlock potential. Monday, July 23 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Mary Brunetti – A renowned industry veteran and Artistic Director of Sally Hershberger Salon in New York City, Brunetti will share what it takes to build a successful apprenticeship program. From hiring to training, what is needed with a new stylist and understanding why it’s important is key to helping them excel and boost your profitability. Breakout Session – Monday, July 23 from 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Neil Ducoff – A PBA Symposium favorite, Ducoff will present, “Achieving Extraordinary,” which explores the systems and disciplines every salon, no matter how big or small, must use to drive productivity, profitability, staff retention and customer loyalty. Larry Kopsa – “Success leaves clues!” Kopsa knows salons and more importantly he knows how accounting, cash management and what financial pitfalls to avoid.
