America’s Beauty Show Brings Beauty to Life

The creative and business leaders of the salon industry showed their support for America’s Beauty Show® and Cosmetologists Chicago by participating in the most spectacular event ever at the 2011 America’s Beauty Show, March 12-14, at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago.

The success of the 86 year old America’s Beauty Show (formerly The Midwest Beauty Show®) also re-emphasized that the thousands and thousands of salon professionals who attended wanted to see what’s new, what’s important and what’s ahead in beauty – and they want to see it in downtown Chicago.

“America’s Beauty Show,” says Cosmetologists Chicago President Frank Gironda of Frank Gironda Salon & Spa, Naperville, IL, “is the event on which the salon leaders in our area grew up. It’s the annual event that has continually helped build our careers and our businesses. For 86 years, America’s Beauty Show has been THE Midwest Beauty Show and we fully intend to continue the tradition for many, many years. We owe that to the future of our salons.”

Cosmetologists Chicago®, the organization of more than 7,000 salon owners, professionals and students that owns and produces America’s Beauty Show, planned a blockbuster schedule of events to meet, and exceed, the expectations of the thousands of professionals in attendance.

As always, salon pros had the opportunity to see, learn and purchase from the leading companies in the professional beauty industry. At ABS, beauty was delivered by hundreds of manufacturers and distributors offering the newest products, tools and equipment for hair, skin and nail care to make a salon business successful.

The three laragest companies in the professional beauty industry—L’Oreal Professional, P&G Salon Professional and John Paul Mitchell Systems—chose America’s Beauty Show for their exhibit presence in the Midwest this spring.  Aquage, TIGI, Farouk, Pravana, Screen Professional Hair Care, Moroccanoil, Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy Academy were also exclusively at America’s Beauty Show in March.

Face & Body Midwest, presented by Skin Inc. magazine, again co-located with America’s Beauty Show. This popular and respected Esthetics Conference and Expo (formerly America’s Expo for Skincare and Spa) was open to all ABS attendees.

The Makeup Show co-located with America’s Beauty Show after successful events in New York City, Miami and Los Angeles. This new conference-within-ABS brings in-depth education for hairstylists, skin care professionals and makeup artists. Leaders in make-up design taught the latest techniques and pro-driven companies presented the newest products in seminars, forums and hands-on workshops.
