Catwalk for Water

Beauty and responsibility come together for a night of fashion on April 21, 2010, 7:00 p.m. –  9:00 p.m.

Aveda Institute Portland will hold their annual event in honor of Earth Month to raise funds to support and protect clean water.

Living the Aveda mission, funds raised at this event will support the local earth month partner, Columbia Riverkeeper. The event will be held in the heart of the Pearl District at Venue Pearl (323 NW 13th Ave., above Aveda Institute Portland).

There will be a series of four style segments lavender, rose, air/wind, and recycling all inspired by Aveda’s mission. With the help of the local community this event should be sustained in donation to Columbia Riverkeeper.

Having celebrated Earth Day since the company’s founding in 1978, Aveda pioneered Earth Month in April 1999. The activist-based brand has raised over $14.2 million for environmental causes through its annual Earth Month campaigns.

Stop by Aveda Institute Portland or any participating local Aveda salon or spa to purchase tickets. Prices range from $100 (VIP area) to $20/ person (general admission) or $1,500 for a sponsored cabana.

Locally owned, this beauty school reaches over 45,000 Oregonians each year. Students master the technical skills necessary to excel while cultivating their own unique talents. Guests receive a service at salon and spa quality skills at an acceptable price. Truly beauty on a budget.

Aveda Institute Portland lives out its mission to “care for the world we live in” and “give back to society” throughout the year in a variety of events.
