Life is Not a Dress Rehearsal

This past September you’re sure to have seen legions of people decked out in pink coming together to participate in the annual Breast Cancer Three-Day, benefiting the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Among those dedicated walkers was Salon Service’s own Sydney Berry and her group of dynamic women, Sydney’s Sole Sistas. They have all been touched by breast cancer; having either fought it themselves or gone through it with family and friends.

Together the women of Sydney’s Sole Sistas exceeded the goal of $25,000 that they set for themselves, with the help of not one, but two events sponsored by Lisa Power Salon, which brought in over $5,500.

This year’s walk held even more significance as Sydney Berry was diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time on July 21, 2009. Sydney’s amazing strength through this difficult time is an inspiration to her Sole Sistas team and the entire Salon Services family. Instead of being devastated by this new battle, Sydney is ready to fight, and reminds us that life is not a dress rehearsal, we should all live in the moment appreciate every precious day we have.
