National Estheticians Group Holds Training Conference in May

The National Coalition of Estheticians Manufacturers/Distributors & Associations (NCEA) is launching their first teachers’ training conference May 16-18, 2009 in Las Vegas.

“This is an exciting step for the NCEA. We have already accomplished a NationalCertification for Skin Care Professionals and now we are helping the teachers to become the best they can be,” declared Susanne S. Warfield, NCEA executive director.

Linda Burmeister, educator for the International Dermal Institute and chair of the National Esthetic Teacher Training (NETT) conference committee explained, “The launch of the first National Esthetic Teacher Training conference demonstrates the understanding the NCEA has for the needs of teachers by providing them the opportunity to become nationally NCEA certified at the conference. I believe this is a positive step forward for the industry.”

Some of the classes being given are: The Latest in Esthetic Machine Technology - How it Affects Your School Curriculum; Emerging Career Opportunities for the Esthetician; Powerful Presentation Tools - Are you equipped to teach Gen Y?; Chemical Exfoliation; Permanent Cosmetics - What Your Students Need to Know; Introducing Your Students to Opportunities in Medical Spas; The Importance of Continuing Education & Certification; The “Essence” of What We Teach - What Your Graduates Should Know; Everything Your Students Should Know & Understand about Protecting their Professional Career; Infection Control Standards; Overview of Body Treatments - Laser light, Celllulite, Lymphatics, Body Wraps, Potions & Lotions; Esthetic Teachers of the Future.

Registration fee includes admission to all three days of the conference including the National Certification Prep Class on Saturday May 16, 2009.
