Sport Clips, Inc. recently recognized Naomi Thomas of San Antonio, Texas as the winner of “The Look” 2008 competition. Industry representatives from Paul Mitchell, American Crew and Andis Clipper Company selected the winner and five finalists from more than 500 Sport Clips across the country for this annual hair design competition.

Finalists received a trip to the 2008 Sport Clips National Huddle in Austin where they were showcased cutting their unique styles on models before a crowd of over a thousand Sport Clips team members and hair care professionals.

This year’s competition focused on a look defined as “American Anthem.” Stylists were required to find a look that “stands out and stands proud.” Participants created their own brand of “American Anthem” in keeping with the attributes of “strong, steady and sexy.” By combining techniques learned through the Sport Clips All-Star Haircutting program, Regional Coach Chrysta Thomas said stylists were able to represent the American trend towards intense movement, hardcore texture, and perfect product choice.

Sport Clips is headquartered in Georgetown, Texas. Entrepreneur magazine’s January 2008 issue ranked the company the 74th largest franchise in America and the 39th fastest-growing franchise, moving up 10 places from 2007.
