IBS New York Proves Industry is Strong

Thousands of beauty professionals at IBS New York 2008, ready to learn, shop and enhance their careers.

The International Beauty Show (IBS) New York drew more than 50,000 participants looking to advance their skills, see the latest and greatest in beauty and mingle with some of the top talent in the industry.

The show proved that the beauty industry is vibrant and strong. “We are thrilled with the turnout, energy and overall vibe experienced at [the show] this year,” says Dana Lupton, group show director.

Some of the most dynamic names in the beauty biz graced the main stage. World-renowned artists including Nick Arrojo, Rodney Cutler, Patrick McIvor, Vivienne Mackinder, Martin Parsons, Clairol Professional’s Danny Lapointe and Anita Gutierrez and the Scruples Design Team provided artistic cutting, dramatic coloring and creative styling with step-by-step demonstrations.

Show attendees visited the International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference exhibit hall at no additional charge to learn about and shop the newest in the spa, skincare and wellness industries at the largest spa show in New York. Other conference events include the Las Vegas show on June 28-30, 2008 and in Orlando October 4-6.

The shows and conference are for professionals only and reach a wide cross-section of participants including salon and spa owners and managers, hair stylists, hair colorists, estheticians, makeup artists, nail technicians, dermatologists, massage therapists and beauty and spa product manufacturers and distributors.
